Theatre isn’t just something you watch. It’s something you can be part of, it’s a community. Sherman Theatre is a place for everyone, where everyone is welcome. Be part of our community.
There are so many ways to participate at Sherman Theatre. Young people can take part in our performance and writing programmes. Anyone aged 18 and above who wants to perform, have fun and make friends can join Sherman Players or our new, accessible, Sherman Makers group. Members of the community who may think theatre might not be for them can give it a try with Sherman 5 and have access to lots of free access support and activities. Our Volunteer Ushers get to serve others, give something back and see great theatre for free. Schools and colleges can connect with us through our education schemes and resources.

Sherman Theatre Bursary Scheme
Sherman Theatre is delighted to be able to offer support to those facing financial barriers to participation through our new Bursary Scheme. There are full and partial bursaries available across all our participatory programmes, which you can apply for at the same time as registering your interest in a group.
The Sherman Theatre Bursary Scheme has been made possible thanks to Michael Morgan, donors and supporters of Michael’s Crowdfunding campaign, alongside donations made to our Share Your Passion Fund.
