HEARING IMPAIRED

Hearing dogs
Hearing dogs are welcome in the theatre. We can offer seats on the end of the row to make your visit easier. Please inform the Box Office when booking your ticket and ask for information on any special effects that might affect the comfort of your dog during the production. Alternatively your dog can be looked after by a member of our team who are happy to provide a water bowl or take the dog for a walk. Should you require this please let us know in advance.

Hearing enhancements and headset
For enhanced enjoyment for people with hearing impairment and for people who use hearing aids, an infra-red audio system is available throughout the Main House and Studio. Advanced booking of headsets is available from the Box Office, where headsets can also be collected before the performance or simply turn your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.

Assisted performances
Feel free to talk to one of our Box Office Assistants on 029 2064 6900 about your requirements so that we can offer you the best possible seat.

What is a Captioned performance?
Captioning is a way of converting the spoken word into visible text, that provides people with a hearing loss with access to live performance. Captions and a display unit installed on or near the stage enable people with a hearing loss to understand what is said when it is said.
