Introducing our new Literary Team

Uncategorised

We’re delighted to introduce the Sherman’s new Literary Team; Davina Moss (Literary Manager) and Lowri Morgan (Literary Associate). They’ll be building on the fantastic work of the literary department over the past year, and have ambitious plans for the future.

The team will continue to provide an array of opportunities, with something for everyone, no matter your skill or experience level.

Davina joins the Sherman after four years serving as Literary Manager at Hampstead Theatre in London. Previous employment includes Public Theater (New York) and New Works at the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse. As a freelance dramaturg, significant projects include the first production of The Merchant of Venice in the Venetian ghetto with Italian-American theatre collective Compagnia de’ Colombari, and work with the Bruntwood Prize, Kali Theatre and the BBC.

Lowri is a Welsh speaking writer and dramaturg. Since graduating in 2019 Lowri has worked with theatre companies across Wales such as Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Cwmni’r Fran Wen and Dirty Protest. Lowri’s first play Cuddio was produced by University of Wales Trinity St David in June 2021 and since then Lowri has also written on welsh TV Soap Opera Rownd a Rownd.

Town Hall Meeting – Wednesday 25 January, 6.30pm, Sherman Theatre

Davina and Lowri would love you to join them at a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday 25 January at 6.30pm, at the Sherman, where they’ll introduce their vision for the next phase of the department’s work. The session will last about an hour and will be a chance for them to introduce themselves, to meet you, and to find out what you would find useful from the Literary Team. We want your input to be central to shaping the future of the Department.

In order to manage numbers, we’d be grateful if you could let us know you’ll be attending by emailing literary@shermantheatre.co.uk.

The Town Hall will be BSL interpreted. If you have any additional access requirements please let us know.

If you would have difficulty attending the meeting at the Sherman, for example because you aren’t Cardiff based, please get in touch.
