Join us on this special evening as we celebrate the South Asian theatre-making community in Wales.

Scene/Change is a groundbreaking new playwriting programme for Welsh and Wales-based writers of South Asian heritage.

Over the last eighteen months, a group of emerging talent have had their first experiences of writing for theatre and being in rehearsal rooms. And now, supported by a freelance creative team from the same community, these exciting new 15-minute scripts will get their first rehearsed readings in the Sherman Studio.

The writers being showcased are: Jannat Ahmed, Rha Arayal, Rithvik Andugula, Nia Gandhi and Amir Khan. The writers have received dramaturgical support from Tafsila Khan and Sherman’s Literary Manager Davina Moss. The remainder of the creative team will be revealed closer to the time.

The plays are:
2.9 Children by Amir Khan
The Sky Is Ours by Jannat Ahmed
End of My Rainbow by Rithvik Andugula
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Nia Gandhi
The Village by Rha Arayal

The performance will be BSL-interpreted by Harjit Jagdev, who will be positioned auditorium right.
