Death is at the doorstep. It’s the eve of the French Revolution. The fearful Blanche de la Force seeks sanctuary in a convent of Carmelite nuns to escape the terror.

Their faith is tested and the horror of the Revolutions’ Reign of Terror comes to pass. Based on the true story of the Martyrs of Compiègne, Poulenc’s second opera is presented by the outstanding performers of the David Seligman Opera School. Sung in English.
