The brothers Grimm are really worried about all their characters on the loose and enlist Stevie’s help in trying to get things back under control. Can you help her out by creating a ‘Wanted’ poster for your favourite fairy tale character?
We’d like you and your class/group to create wanted posters for the characters that have escaped in the Grimmdom. Send them to us and we’ll display them in the foyer ready for you to see on your visit.
Task:
We would like you and your class / group to create wanted posters for the characters that have escaped in the Grimmdom which Stevie might come across. They could be a character they already know about, their favourite character, or any fairy tale character who they think might have escaped! They should draw them in wanted poster form, send them to us and we will display them in the foyer ready for you to see.
A Wanted Poster
1. Take a piece of paper and write WANTED at the top.
2. Leave a space below this to draw your picture.
What does your character look like?
- Height
- Hair colour
- Eye colour
- Clothing
Don’t forget to include any unusual traits about them – do they have any scars for instance, or perhaps they have different coloured eyes?
3. At the bottom of the page include a brief sentence about where this person was last seen – was it in their home, the street or in a shop?
4. Don’t forget a reward! How much is their capture worth?
Encourage your group to be adventurous. The pictures could be made of a collage of images and textures. This could be tied into you Language, Literacy and Communication curriculum as well as Expressive Arts areas of learning and experience. We want to be captivated by your efforts so try to challenge us with your fantastic artistic decisions.
N.B These drawings should be on paper no larger than A3.
Send the pictures along with the following information to the theatre a week before you are due to watch the show:
