One town, many stories to tell.
Following the haunting and breath-taking Tydfil Tales, Sherman Theatre returns to Merthyr Tydfil this autumn. The Sherman will collaborate once again with performing arts students from The College Merthyr Tydfil to share more tales from the place they call home. Reaching out across the community this project will delve deep into its stories, seeking out its secrets and sharing memories, anecdotes and viewpoints.
Giving voice to younger and older people alike, this new piece will be developed, devised and performed by the students supported by Jo Richards and Kayleigh Adlam from College Merthyr’s Performing Arts Team, as well as director Samantha Alice Jones and Sherman’s Creative Engagement Manager Timothy Howe.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the as yet unheard voices of Merthyr’s incredible community as they echo across the Taff valley and into your ears.
