An exciting new season is under way for Sherman Plays, the exciting project launched a few months’ ago at Sherman Theatre. Here is a unique opportunity for older theatre audiences to see some great performances by talented actors in in a wide range of plays which are entertaining and thought-provoking too. Sherman Plays are staged on the last Thursday of the month from 11 a.m to 1 p.m, and there is a Q & A session at the end. The new season kicked off with ‘On the Whole It’s Been a Jolly Good Life’ previously read on the radio - a highly entertaining monologue written by Peter Tinniswood and performed with evident enthusiasm and consummate skill by Huw Thomas. I can’t remember when I laughed so much on a Thursday morning. Ticket cost is a mere £2.50 and even includes tea or coffee and homemade cake. Give it a try – really you can’t lose!
