Show Information

There’s no lack of ‘drama’ in Woyzeck. There’s no lack of politics either. Producing it today with a company of young actors makes perfect sense.

Woyzeck is a play about poverty, love, betrayal and murder, and about a child who’s orphaned. It’s about a poor man in a quasi-moral society who pays a dreadful price for just trying to provide for his family. He has to sell his body, and loses his mind. No matter how hard he tries, it’s impossible for him to make sense of a world where mans disregard for man is complete.

A new adaptation of a Welsh language translation by Guto Dafis, by 3rd year BA Theatr a Drama students at the University of South Wales.
