Open Platform: LGBT+ History Month - Damian Kerlin

24 Feb 2021

Open Platform will see the Sherman celebrate the work of LGBTQIA+ artists through its digital channels throughout LGBT+ History Month. We want to hand over the microphone to any Welsh or Wales based LGBTQIA+ artist so they can shout about themselves and their work.

The first artist to be featured on Open Platform: LGBT+ History Month is Damian Kerlin. Damian is an LGBTQ+ family and lifestyle writer and blogger. Originally from Northern Ireland, he now lives in Cardiff and has had articles featured in Gay Boy Bible, Adoption UK, Adoption Wales and Daddi Life as well as appearing on podcast The Adoption and Fostering Podcast. Damian recently featured as part of Emily Garside's audio documentary for our Heart of Cardiff series - Centre Stage: Stories of Cardiff's LGBTQIA+ Community.

You can read Damian's insightful and compelling blog LGBT History Month - If not now, when? here.
