As a charitable arts organisation, Sherman Cymru relies heavily on support from the trust and foundation sector. The funding we receive from trusts and foundations enables the company to develop and expand the vital work that Sherman Cymru undertakes with the communities we serve.

 

Previous support from this sector has enabled Sherman Cymru to:

 

  • Introduce and establish an innovative Community Engagement Programme, working with refugees and displaced people within local communities
  • Tour widely across Wales and the rest of the UK with productions in both Welsh and English
  • Commission and develop young emerging writing talent through particular writer development initiatives
  • Deepen and expand the work of the company’s Learning & Engagement Department
  • Develop the unique Acting Out Cardiff project – a project for 14-16 year olds who find classroom learning difficult
